Retrofit solution for Bambu AMS - SUNLU AMS Heater
The SUNLU AMS Heater is an affordable upgrade for Bambu Lab AMS version 1 users, designed to keep filament dry during printing by heating all four spools simultaneously to around 55–65 °C. It installs easily by replacing the AMS cover and connects directly to the existing system, but unlike premium options like the Eibos Tetras, it lacks individual temperature control, limiting flexibility with mixed materials. While effective for users printing with a single filament type, its uniform heating and lack of active airflow may reduce performance with sensitive filaments like TPU. Community modifications can improve airflow but void warranties.
12 Years of SUNLU: AMS Heater for Bambu-Lab devices introduced
To celebrate its 12th anniversary, SUNLU launched the AMS Heater for Bambu Lab P1 and X1 series printers—a compact, easy-to-install accessory that enables simultaneous filament drying and printing. Replacing the standard AMS lid, it reaches 70°C in 20 minutes and features smart humidity control, a PTC heating element for safety, manual ventilation, and real-time monitoring to maintain optimal filament conditions. Designed as a cost-effective alternative to the AMS 2 Pro, the AMS Heater is available for pre-order at an introductory price of €99.99 until August 15, 2025, with a final retail price around €120.
